Potassium Bicarbonate

pH correction, alkalinity restoration, and low-sodium mineral enrichment for water and food formulations

Chemical Formula

KHCO₃

Potassium Bicarbonate is a food-grade, high-purity mineral salt used to raise pH and restore carbonate alkalinity in reverse osmosis (RO) permeate, bottled water, and food and beverage formulations. Unlike sodium bicarbonate, it delivers the same buffering action while contributing potassium instead of sodium.

Built for applications where sodium content matters:

  • Adjusts pH and restores carbonate alkalinity in RO-treated and desalinated water systems

  • Provides potassium instead of sodium, suited to low-sodium food, beverage, and mineral water formulations

  • Certified food grade (FCC, E501) for direct use in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical applications

  • High purity (99–101.5% assay) in a readily soluble, fine crystalline form for consistent dosing

  • Stable for up to 3 years when stored in a dry, well-ventilated environment
